On TAP: A Theatre & Performance Studies Podcast is produced mainly in one location and with the resources of one institution, Washington University in St. Louis, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Washington University in St. Louis is situated on the ancestral land of several indigenous groups, including The Osage Nation, the Missouria tribe, the Miami people, and the Illini Confederacy. In 1808, the Osage Nation ceded its lands by treaty, under threat of destruction by the United States Army. On TAP acknowledges this history, and thanks the Buder Center for American Indian Studies here at Wash U for making this information accessible.
Our podcast also involves contributions of many collaborators in different parts of North America and beyond, and utilizes software and data storage supported by physical resources in a variety of sites. In many cases, the sites of the infrastructure that supports this project are on land that was unjustly taken. We encourage our listeners to learn more about the history of the land where they are. Furthermore, On TAP is committed to engagement with indigenous scholars and artists.
